I love the Littlest Elf....the theme of this book is one all kids can relate to. Oliver wants to have a job at the North Pole, but it seems he is too little for most of the jobs!
Until he meets a little reindeer with the same dilemma...and Santa notices what they've done. It's a great book by the same author as The Littlest Pilgrim...so if you read that in November, this is a great text to use in December!
Also wonderful for introducing the Elf in your classroom!

I love this story for talking about feelings. It is by the same author as The Littlest Pilgrim!
Oliver is a little elf who just isn't quite big enough to do any of the "real" jobs in Santa's village....such a relatable theme for little ones.
He is feeling discouraged...and then he meets Dot, the littlest reindeer.
Oliver and Dot discover that even though they are little, they can still do BIG things!
You and your kids will love the ending of this sweet story!
These materials focus on emotions...and talking about how the characters in the story felt at different times.
Children will get to put a face on Oliver the Elf and Dot the Reindeer...and even SANTA himself!
Loads of opportunity to discuss feelings!
I also added two pages (a boy and a girl) of face templates for your kids to show how they would've felt in the story.
Printable for drawing and writing "What job would you want at the North Pole?"
Printable for illustrating their favorite part of the story
This set of materials includes both of the above products!
Inspired by the book The Littlest Elf by Brandi Dougherty. The book isn't included, but necessary for the activities in this resource.
