Stimulate students mathematically by adding a new twist to the daily math grind! These rotation cards can be printed, laminated and used year after year. Use with one student, a group or the whole class. 10 cards covering basic math concepts are included as well as suggested literature that can be incorporated as desired. Also included is an answer document and answer key. All problems are based around the book The Magic School Bus: Explore the Senses. Use these cards as differentiation in the general education class, remediation, homework, in math journals, as RtI, in work stations, to enhance literacy centers or for Family Math Night! * Example of a challenging problem:
Sound travels in waves. The speed of sound is around?767 miles per hour. If a car traveled at 70 miles ?per hour, how long would it take to travel 767 miles?
* Example of less challenging problem:
After discovering a dislike for anchovies, the students and Mr. Wilde ran quickly to the part of the brain that gets touch messages from the hand. Students learned that there are 100 touch receptors in each fingertip! How many touch receptors would 5 people have if they each had 2 hands?
