Students reorder 14 Summary Strips to retell the story chronologically. They go back to the Summary Strips to highlight and categorize irregular and regular verbs in the simple past tense. Then, they complete a R-E-A-D worksheet which presents 20 original sentences which derive from the story and contain one grammatical error each. Students can do one from each column (R-E-A-D) or all 20, depending on their level.
All items are original and derive from the story.
Great for a class with a wide range of reading levels. This series still appeals to fourth and fifth graders which makes it a smart choice for ELL students.
