The following eleven-page study guide film packet is used to accompany the John Sturges-directed 1960 action western drama film "The Magnificent Seven." It can be used in an English or film studies classroom. The first page contains a list of cast and crew and a background and introduction on the film. The second page is a page that allows viewers to jot and take down their own notes. The third page features all of the cowboys and asks viewers to write how each character is indirectly characterized. Pages four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine are comprehension questions to guide the viewer on the work's color symbolism, costume design, figurative language, irony, plot, sound, story, and theme.
