The Math of Science Unit (duration is about 1month to 1.5 months block schedule)
This unit includes labs, activities, quizzes and reviews in a number of different formats to keep students engaged while learning the math skills they need to succeed in Chemistry (could be used for Physics as well). This is the first unit that I start my chemistry class with and it’s a bit long, you might want to consider modifying it as you see fit. This method of learning the math of science is original in that it gets students out of their seat with labs, activities and competitions.
Topics Covered: Accuracy vs. Precision
