Make the past come to life with this 4-part primary source investigation on the Mayflower Compact. Not only will your students analyze the primary source, but they will have fun doing so!

Students begin with an engaging See-Think-Wonder activity before tackling the actual document via a highlighting and annotating task. Next, students will get the real story behind the Mayflower Compact through a brief secondary source reading and Stop and Jot activity. Finally, students will create a newspaper headline and short article to demonstrate their learning before concluding with another look at the See-Think-Wonder visual.

A detailed teaching guide is included, as well as an answer key where applicable. Enjoy this wonderful activity that is packed with "Best Practices" activities!
