The Maze Runner Critical Thinking Question Sets include critical thinking questions, figurative language, literary elements, and key vocabulary from the novel. I use them with small groups or individual novel studies. Most of the questions are good for discussion but also show if a student is understanding what they're reading. There are 11 question sets that include 5-7 chapters each. Each set has four sections; Read and Respond, Key Vocabulary, Figurative Language (except for one of the sets), and the fourth changes each set. The fourth sections include character analysis, conflict, theme, perspective, symbolism, and climax. A few of them repeat because they fit those sections best. I created this resource on Power Point so you can edit it to fit your needs. I also added copies as PDF and PNG files in case you do not have access to Power Point. I share the sets with my students on Google Docs and have them type their answers. You could give them hard copies and allow them to answer verbally or on paper.
