Add some fun, humor, and excitement to your next Orff instrument performance! “The Mitty Matty Rag” is a traditional song that has been re-imagined in the style of Ragtime music and inspired by the world’s great Ragtime Xylophonist and composer, George Hamilton Green. It features a percussion "toy" section and allows for students to improvise solos. Instructional notes are provided. A song lead sheet is also provided to help students learn the song. In the ragtime style, students can experience syncopated rhythms and discuss how they change the song from its original rhythm. Includes Score, instructional notes and individual parts. Suitable for any program throughout the school year, The Mitty Matty Rag will have your audience smiling!
