Product Description
Using original newspaper articles from Montgomery, Alabama in 1955-57, students will explore the true story of the boycott. They will learn how the boycott actually worked, who some more of the leaders were besides Dr. King, and how whites tried to thwart it constantly. They will read 8 articles and answer questions, following which is an optional one-page assignment called "Myth or Fact?" in which they will use their newfound knowledge to examine common assumptions about the boycott. An answer key is included for both parts of the assignment.
