Keep your students on track as they read the short novel with this bumper quiz of 50 multiple choice questions.
This is a robust assessment which tests students' attention to the plot. It could to be used as a final assessment. Or it could be used to keep students on task while reading the novel. The questions are arranged in the same order as the events in the novel to make this possible. This also makes it possible to sub-divide the quiz and use in parts as you go along (It's a Word document, so you can edit it). I like to use as an open book test or scavenger hunt at the end of reading. In this way, students are actively learning and revising as they seek the answers.
The 50 question format makes it easy to convert to percentages and grades.
The product consists of the quiz (4 pages) plus solution (1 page). Also included is a one page answer sheet, on which students can mark their answers. This makes marking easier for you, and cuts down on paper use.
It is a Word document, so you can edit to suit your class.
