Fun activity with 29 words for students to find. Each word is a character name, a location from the novel, or a key word important in the analysis of theme.
In addition to finding the words in the grid, students are asked to write one sentence about each character, showing his / her role in the novel; and for the theme words, their understanding of it. This helps reinforce their knowledge of character (or start their character analysis), and their comprehension of key vocabulary.
This is the type of activity that could be used as a homework assignment or as class work on an occasion when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
The solution is given on the second page.
