The Most Dangerous Game, a classic story by Richard Connell is adapted in this readers' theater script. The story is a twist on the sport of hunting, and has many thought-provoking parts. The script will make the action come alive for students, while adhering to the plot, characterization, and themes of the original story. This script includes 5 character parts. It can be used easily in a small group or modified for a larger group by switching readers between the five acts.
Included in the zip file are:
*Complete readers' theater script
*Student activities packet which includes:
- Questions for each act about plot, setting, characterization, inference
- Vocabulary words to study
- Short answer questions on themes and irony
- Choices for extended projects including research, essay writing, artwork, and creative writing
The teacher packet is the same as the student packet, but includes possible answers to questions, for oral discussion of the story.
