Product Description
This is a creative writing assignment based on Connell's short story "The Most Dangerous Game". Students must write a scene that is missing in the story. There are two different assignments for two levels. For the Honors level they are given two scenes to choose from, a model/template of one of those scenes that I wrote, and a grading rubric that you may use or adapt. Before they write I have them find and indicate the elements of the rubric in the scene that I wrote. For the College Prep (or lower level) assignment, I chose one scene and give them opening and closing sentences and 5 details that they need to include and elaborate upon. The model/template scene is also included as is a grading rubric for this level. Again, I have them find the rubric elements in the scene that I wrote before they begin writing.
