This assessment pack includes both formative and summative assessments.
The first is a hands-on activity using manipulatives to help your students discover the three levels of reading: detail, inference, and theme as applied to "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell.
The MDG quiz and the summative test cover the same TEKS. However, the "final test" is a "cold read" test meaning the same skills are covered, just over a different story. The purpose is to check students' skill level, not their ability to pick the answers already discussed in class.
Assessments are aligned with STAAR/EOC question stems. Keys are included along with TEKS tested.
