This lesson is a great experiential learning activity for students who are reading The Most Dangerous Game. The activity is designed to help students understand author’s purpose, plot, and setting of the story. Many times a good number of our students struggle to identify and understand the tension and suspense of the story. The purpose of this activity is to help students make that connection with the story through an experiential process. This activity can effectively be used either right before or after the students read the part of the story where the General is hunting Rainsford.
It’s a good activity to take a break from the reading, head outside, and get some exercise.
