This Engineering Design Challenge is based on the picture book, The Most Magnificent Thing, by Ashley Spires! This book is a great introduction to engineering!
Can you create your own most magnificent thing from found objects that serves a specific purpose?
Materials: (per group or individual)
Assorted found materials (plastic bottles, tin cans, cardboard pieces, paper, plastic containers, milk jugs, etc.)
Tape and scissors
Yarn and other bits and pieces of craft items
This packet contains all the information you need to make this a great engineering activity in your classroom! Lab sheets, student and teacher instructions, and challenge signs are all included! Using simple and cheap materials, you can engage your students in the engineering process!
