Product Description
The Most Perfect Snowman Book Companion is a packet of extension activities to go along with the book by Chris Britt. Use it as a supplement to your study of winter and snowmen in January. It’s a book with a meaningful lesson about kindness and giving. The activities include comprehension questions, compare and contrast, story map, story sequencing, adjectives, a kindness booklet, and more!

The packet includes:

• Book Report – draw and write about your favorite part of the story.

• Question Cards and Questions – a set of comprehension questions to ask about the book. It includes two formats: question cards and a questions printable.

• Retell the Story – retell the story by drawing and labeling what happens at the beginning, middle, and end of the story.

• The Most Perfect Snowman – draw and label the setting, character(s), problem, and solution of the story.

• Story Map – draw the character(s) and setting. Write what happens at the beginning, middle, and end of the story.

• Story Sequence Sort – cut the sentences apart on the dotted lines. Read the sentences. Glue the sentences under the correct headings: those that happened at the beginning of the story and those that happened at the end.

• Snowman Clothing Adjectives – write 3 adjectives for each of the snowman’s parts and clothing.

• Compare and Contrast – draw and/or write what is the same and different about Drift and the fancy snowmen {makes a great partner activity}.

• A Perfect Snowman – draw a picture of what Drift looks like as a perfect snowman. Describe what he looks like.

• Kindness and Giving – write about the lessons learned about kindness and giving from reading the story.

• Text to Self Connection – write about a time when you were not included in something.

• Antonym Match – cut the picture word cards out. Glue them next to the pictures that are their opposites.

• Perfect Snowman Kindness Booklet – complete a kindness booklet about being generous, helpful, and friendly {black and white and colored versions included}.
