This project is designed to make our students into historical researchers and producers of historical media. Groups of 3 or 4 learners work as a team to make their own unique discoveries about the New Stone Age and then share their findings with the class. Access to the internet and some form of desktop presentation software greatly facilitates this project’s timely completion.
Students must be organized and ensure that they have completed on time. They must analyze the presentation sections to decide who does which section and choose how they will present the slides. They must illustrate a Neolithic culture at a particular time and place. This could include a revolution in construction, agriculture, or warfare. Some of the questions they must address include: What environment had to be dealt with? What tools did they used to use? How did they improve upon them? What were the results? How did these people interact with other cultures? What did they look like at their height? What happened to these people?
