This brief 17-slide power point is an introduction to the main programs and results of the New Deal implemented under the Roosevelt administration during the Great Depression. The notes include a brief overview of the main programs (CCC, FDIC, TVA, WPA, etc...) and then describes the reaction to these programs (Supreme Court challenges, over-extension of powers). The presentation continues with a description of the Second New Deal (Social Security, NIRA, etc) and then the overall impact of the New Deal on women, the presidency, labor unions, and culture. The presentation concludes with a description of before and after the New Deal and the legacy left behind as a result of it.
