All to often, I find that teaching the New Deal can be a bit of a struggle for students who do not understand the impact of this era on American society. This workbook document is designed to encourage exploration on topics from the New Deal era, structured in a web-quest, workbook form, allowing students to explore at their own pace a series of documents, mini-movies, and articles, while critically thinking about the purpose, the programs, the critiques and the successes of this era in American History.
This workbook could easily be made smaller, be broken into separate lessons, or used as a week long exploration tool for students seeking to move at their own pace.
I have used this as an individual assignment, or as small group work.
All of the necessary links are provided to the mini-movies, the articles, and documents.
