This is a lesson in a unit on the New England colonies. Using a document called The Massachusetts Body Of Liberties students will first summarize their sections in their own words and then interpret the information to find out what the document can tell us about peoples beliefs in the time period. This document is also clearly related to the Magna Carta and the Bill or Rights, in this lesson students will look for similarities between the the Body of Liberties and the Bill of Rights
