These 7 activities go right along with this great classic book by Jan Brett.
Included are the following:
Vocabulary Work –Students are to create their own sentences and illustrations using 7 key terms from the story.
Vocabulary Matching –Students are given 8 key terms from the story, 7 of which are from the Vocabulary Work activity, and are to match each word with the correct definition.
Nouns/Verbs/Adjectives-Students will sort the 21 given words into the correct category.
Proper Nouns/Common Nouns Sorting-Students will sort proper nouns and common nouns from the story. There are 8 common nouns and 8 proper nouns.
Rhyming-Students will draw a line to match the 8 sets of words that rhyme.
Writing Response-The students will respond to the following prompt on the provided paper: “If you were in charge of delivering all of the gifts to the children the night before Christmas, how would you do it? I can’t wait to find out! Be sure your story is full of details!!”
Comprehension Questions –There are 16 questions to complete.
