This Reader's Theater is based on the book The Night Before Thanksgiving by Natasha Wing.
There are roles for 4 students as well as nameplates to make headbands or necklaces. Copy the nameplates on white cardstock. Then you might choose to punch a hole in the top, thread with yarn, and place around the student's necks. You could also cut a 2-inch strip of construction paper long enough to go around the students' heads (I usually have to add a small section to make the strips long enough), and then staple the nameplate in the center of the construction paper strip.
Reader's Theaters are wonderful to use for promoting reading and speaking fluency.
Have fun, and please feel free to change in any way that you would like.
*I have included two alternate second pages. One has blank lines in case you'd like to write student names into the script. The second alternate has a little more modern names than the original script.
