The Normal Distribution Notes are designed to help students learn about mathematics surrounding situations with a normal distribution.
Students are given a mean and a standard deviation value and are asked to find data values between certain percentages or a range of percents based on data values.
Students are also introduced to z-values using a data value, mean, and a standard deviation value. Students are asked to solve for any missing value in the z-value formula and to utilize known values to make inferences about data values in a set.
I use this in my Algebra II class during a 45 minute class period.
Blank student copy, instructions, and completed teacher copy are included.
Teacher/Instructor notes can be printed in color or black/white.
Print on colored paper for an added variety.
