A frequently neglected topic of the Holocaust and World War 2 with massive implications for our modern world: How did Hitler marginalize the Jews?
This creative packet presents several of the basic elements of the Nuremburg Laws with comprehension questions, then invites students to create their own Nazi Pedigree chart based on the Nuremburg Laws. With 9 fictitious characters, students need to use Nazi qualifying criteria to determine if each person on the chart is or is not a Jew.
This packet is meant to give students an appreciation for the types of people who were determined to be Jews, as well as to highlight how "unscientific" the Nazi procedures actually were.
The packet works best with a Science curriculum which covers genetics and pedigree charts, but is possible to be done without.
