Included in this product are two mini-readers!
The Nurse has many Tools is a great mini-book to complement your community helpers unit. In it your students will learn that the nurse uses a thermometer to take your temperature, a stethoscope to listen to your heart, a bed to lie down on when you need to rest and more!
When do I go to the Nurse is a helpful mini-book to use during the first weeks of school as you are introducing your students to the many helpers on campus and the rules and procedures of their new school.
Students learn that it is important to only ask to go to the nurse if it is an emergency so that they do not miss important learning time in the classroom and because the nurse has an important job taking care of students with serious medical needs.
Students also learn how to report to a teacher when they need to go to the nurse and in what situations they will be sent to the nurse.
Most importantly, students read about how the nurse is there to keep them safe and healthy!
