Product Description
The Odyssey Cyclops Radio Production PowerPoint is a group activity that allows for students to write a script and create a radio show version of the Cyclops Scene. Students begin the lesson by listening to clips of Orson Wells' radio production of "War of the Worlds," and "Julius Caesar." (The duration of time spent here will be up to you--I spend about 5 to 10 minutes on each). While listening, students answer the following questions in their journals:

What does a radio production sound like? What does the narration sound like? How does it communicate a story? What do radio version special effects sound like?

After students are put into groups of 4 or 5 to begin their radio production, this PowerPoint offers instructions and a rubric as to how students should be graded.
