This journal prompt forces students to connect to the text by asking them to compare Odysseus' relationship to his dog, Argus, to a relationship they've had with a pet. Of course, there's also an option for students who have never owned a pet.
The prompt is arranged on the document, so that it may be displayed on a Smartboard. It may be edited, however, to distribute individual prompts to students.
