The assessment choices are for Part One of the abridged version of The Odyssey included in both Pearson Common Core and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 9th grade textbooks.
Three of the four choices offer both a project and written component. The project portion is weighted more heavily to differentiate for struggling writers. The project rubric is included.
The fourth option is intended for higher-achieving students with stronger writing skills, as it does not include a project component. Students are assessed solely on ideas and argumentative writing. I use the GA Milestones rubric (found in store with no charge), but one could easily develop a more student friendly rubric.
