This unit focuses on making connections between texts, analyzing theme, summarizing/paraphrasing ideas, writing for different purposes, and presenting information using multimedia. Throughout this unit, students will not only read about the heroes of ancient Greece; they will get a chance to critically analyze modern society's values and ideals by examining the superhero film craze in recent years. Students will chiefly be makers in this unit, taking on real-world roles to create products that require interdisciplinary skills. I hope you enjoy it as much as I know your students will!
