-->48 task cards to enhance classroom discussion
--> Each task card has a different question on it, ranging from lower level recall questions to higher order analysis level questions.
Task cards can be used for a variety of reasons.
1. cut apart and insert into academic notebooks for students to respond to
2. exit slips
3. place in a center for students to work on in small groups
4. Scoot! (Place the cards around the classroom. Each student starts at a different card and responds. Students can share their responses with the class or record them. When the appropriate amount of time has passed (dependent on skill), signal for the students to rotate to the next card in numerical order. I like to use music to signal movement. Students continue to rotate around the classroom responding to questions
5. writing prompts
I recommend printing on colored stock and laminating. This will ensure the task cards last throughout your unit and hold up for years to come.
