If you are teaching "The Open Boat", by Stephen Crane, these questions are perfect to help your students solidify their comprehension of the story. There are 14 questions with an answer key included. They are intended to be done independently, but they are great discussion starters and also work well with use in small groups. They can also double as a study guide when students finish the story. The questions cover all levels of Bloom's Taxonomy and are meant to get your students to make connections between the story and life and Naturalism that they would not make on their own. I used them several years when I was teaching this story as a part of a unit on Naturalism, so they are student and teacher tested and revised after use.
