PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This 5 page DOCUMENT BASED (Primary Source) packet addresses the different forms of democracy practiced in Greece (Athens) and Rome, who were considered the citizens of Greece and Rome, how philosophers like Plato and Aristotle improved democracy through their writing, and duties of the citizen in in the democracies of Greece and Rome. Students will be guided through the reading of primary source excerpts by answering critical thinking questions about each document. Some document excerpts included: Plato's The Law, Aristotle's The Politics, the 12 Tables (Roman Law) and several more...At the end of the packet, students are given a final question to answer on the contents of the packet which will allow students to exhibit their overall understanding of the material.
