This is an original story (by me) in the tradition of European folk tales. It is like a "just-so story" about how pancakes were invented. This musical is suitable for kindergarten and early elementary and could be done as a play without music if desired.
The story is of a poor family with three children who learn the joy of sharing as their chickens, cows, and bees share eggs, milk and honey to help the family have enough to eat, and the greater joy for the family when they meet a young woman and an old man who are hungry and they have pancakes to share with them. This is a story about gratitude and sharing.
The songs were written with the idea of being usable to teach music theory (up and down, steps and skips). They are written in keys that are suitable for young voices.
Purchase of this script also gives you the right to duplicate and perform.
