The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton Figurative Language Board Game Challenger Chapters 1-6 (Blue and White Versions)
This is a challenging gane board which will help your students to understand and identify figurative language such as simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, oxymoron, allusion and synecdoche in, Chapters 1-6 of, "The Outsiders," by S. E. Hinton.
This game board contains 23 examples of the the most challenging figurative language found in the first half of the story. Students are asked to identify the type of figurative language and are given bonus points for interpreting the meaning of each phrase.
My kids had a great time and made more progress at understanding these concepts because they learned from each other and had fun while playing this game. Your kids will love it too.
