CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.9-10.5a Interpret figures of speech (e.g., euphemism, oxymoron) in context and analyze their role in the text.
This Prezi begins with a definition of oxymoron. The next slide has a list of examples. The rest of the Prezi contains three examples from literature. Students are asked to find the oxymora in the work of Shakespeare and Petrarch, which will lead to great class discussion. The goal of the Prezi is to make sure students are not simply able to identify oxymora but to truly "analyze their role in the text."
The preview file provides a link so you can see what the actual Prezi looks like.
