PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

"The Paper Bag Princess" by Robert Munsch is a great children's book that translates well to a junior/senior high creative writing assignment. In this story Princess Elizabeth is going to marry Prince Ronald but a dragon destroys her castle and kidnaps the Prince. The brave Princess has no more clothing left so puts on a brown paper bag and sets forth to rescue the Prince. She outsmarts the dragon on several occasions, and saves the Prince. However, Prince Ronald is very ungrateful to Elizabeth, and is only concerned that she is looking so 'unprincess like' in her paper bag. Elizabeth decides to NOT marry the prince. This is a fun story with great illustrations and shows a strong, willful female that both male and female students can admire and look to for inspiration in a world that is often very shallow and judgemental.
