Product Description
In this lab, students will be able to make their own battery that is strong enough to power a 1.5 V L.E.D. bulb.

Supplies:
- 5 pennies from 1982 or newer
- Cardboard or thick construction paper
- Electrolyte (lemon or lime juice, salt water, or vinegar)
- 1.5 Volt L.E.D. bulb with exposed wires
- Sandpaper

This lab can also be purchased in another product that includes a PowerPoint introducing electricity & how its generated, an Ohms Law WKST, Research Assignment, & WKST that compliments a GREAT 42 min. drama-documentary about the beginnings of manufacturing and selling electricity. It is sure to engage your students in the lives of Thomas Edison & Nikola Tesla.
