I divided the book into three parts. Each section is given to students to complete prior to meeting for book club discussion. The guide consists of two sections. The first section is for students to generate questions to bring to the discussion (we call this type of questioning "thick" questions vs. "thin" questions (one word answers). The second part of the discussion guide is for students to choose one comprehension question to complete. Most questions have multiple parts where students have to defend their answers with textual evidence. A book mark of suggested question stems is included for students to use. Also, two student samples of the first week discussion guide in included.
