The works of Shakespeare: so many plays in a number of different genres. Some obvious collaborations (The Two Noble Kinsmen and the like). Some lost to time (Love’s Labor’s Won to name one). And stuff that isn’t theatrical at all.
Color-coded by genre, grouped by category (genre without the "problem play" designation, PLUS collaborations and lost works), and keyed by length, number of characters and number of scenes, this "periodic table" of Shakespeare also layers, from left to right, a historical progression of his writing (we don’t know the actual chronology of composition, but we have some rough ideas).
UPDATED: to reflect the new categorization of plays and collaboration in the New Oxford series.
