This lesson, which can be used as a part of a study of the early American colonies or a Thanksgiving enrichment, helps students to explore the motives behind the Pilgrims' journey to the New World. It will help students to learn how to take notes through the use of an advance organizer. Then students can evaluate what they have learned and create a letter from the Pilgrim's point of view.
