This creative writing activity immerses your students in the world of Geoffrey Chaucer. They will learn who he is, what he wrote, and how to replicate his writing style (Iambic pentameter, rhyming couple “Tales.) This lesson combines literacy and history at the same time. It can be used in a Language Arts or Social Studies classroom. Your students will research a pioneer, and then write a 20-lined tale about them.
