This PowerPoint presentation gives an introduction to the 8 planets of our solar system (sorry, Pluto). The planets are presented from nearest to farthest from the Sun. For each planet there are also interesting or memorable facts so as to make them more memorable for your students. For example, Mercury is the smallest and fastest revolving planet, Jupiter is the biggest, and Uranus is the only planet to spin on its side.
Since the name of the Greek/Roman god given to each planet is explained, it can be coupled with study of Greek/Roman mythology as well.
