This printable is designed to be used as planning space for students as they brainstorm and draft narrative stories. It can also be used for teaching the basic elements of the plot and recording the parts of the plot from books the class has read.
How to Use
★ Use as a full-page handout onto which students can draft their plot outlines.
★ Have students paste the handout into their Writer's Workshop notebooks whenever you begin a new story, or as a reference page.
★ Use as homework or classwork at the end of a book or short story unit; students should fill out the most important parts of the plot in the story they have just completed.
★ Use as a running record for what happens in a story as you read it in class.
