Kids adore the magical Christmas story, The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. This sequencing activity is perfect to use after reading the story during the month of December, for an author study or with your Polar Express holiday unit.
You can print these cards on cardstock and laminate them to use in a pocket chart, at a literacy center or at a retelling station. You may also print a copy for each student to cut, sequence and paste on a large piece of construction paper. Ordinal number words and several different writing pages are included for older or advanced students.
**Please note that these are sequencing cards that go along with The Polar Express book, not the movie version.
There are more sequencing card sets for other favorite books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar in my shop and lots of learning activities for Laura Numeroff's book series!
I am always working on new sets. If you'd like to be notified of new items and freebies, please consider following my store.
If you like this activity and think that other teachers may too, please Pin-it, or like my store on Facebook! I'd appreciate your help in letting teachers know where to find me! Thanks so much!
