This two-page web quest scavenger hunt allows students to use their computer skills to learn more about the Polar Express and its author, Chris Van Allsburg. There are 16 questions (including easy to understand directions) and space is provided next to each question for students to write their answers. An answer key is also provided for your convenience and/or to allow students to check their own work. Students will visit three different websites to find information. There are also some interactive components (games, puzzles, e-cards) to offer choice in how each student approaches the web quest. This web quest works well independently or with a partner. This is a great activity to have students do in December, as well as a perfect way to meet common core standards in technology and reading.
