*The capitalization, bolded terms, and spelling on the Preamble poster reflect the original document. On the original document the word “defence” is written with the British spelling. On the student work, I have used the American spelling.

**The phrase cards can be used as an activity where students silently put the Preamble in order. They could be an independent activity for learning the Preamble. Students could glue them in order in their Social studies interactive notebook or glue them into a chain to use as a practice activity for memorizing the Preamble. Use in combination with the Kids Cards to do a matching activity.
