This is a student lesson using the principles of Orton Gillingham which includes a multisensory, sequential, cumulative approach.
Students will address reading, writing and structural analysis skill building using the prefix "un-."
Students benefit from repeated exposures of the prefix "un-."
The focus on both reading and writing skill building, using this prefix supports a deeper comprehension. Students learn to "break down" words using syllabication strategies. This strengthens decoding, which then supports students' abilities to read with improved fluency.
Additional benefits include brain pathway development in the following areas:
Long Term Retrieval
Word Memory Retrieval
