It begins with a look at Vietnam including Nixon's policy of Vietnamization, the invasion of Cambodia, the Kent State Massacre, and the eventual Paris Peace Accords. It continues by discussing detente with China and the Soviet Union including the President's trip to China, SALT I, and the Great Grain deal with the Soviet Union. It then looks at domestic affairs including the President's support for the EPA, OSHA, Food Stamps and Affirmative Action through the Philadelphia Plan. The Southern Strategy and growing Republican influence in the South is covered. Stagflation is death with along with Nixon's efforts at wage and price controls. It concludes with an examination of Watergate and Nixon's eventual resignation.
