This 23 page product has a 11 page blackline early reader which is a rewritten mini version of the old tale of The Princess and the Pea. There are also
several pages of activities to accompany the reader.
There are multiple versions of this tale, so I used the storyline I remembered from my childhood. My focuses for this little reader are sequencing, opinion, retell, problem/solution, the princess's character sketch, and of course the happy ever after theme of fairytales.
I included a foldable which is differentiated in itself since students can write as little or as much as they choose. There is an organizer with beginning, middle, and end to sequence events or for those reluctant writers you can differentiate with a cut/paste page to sequence pictures. I also added a recommendation page for student opinions. There is a main character organizer for the princess as well.
Activities with the reader include:
A flip-up foldable for interactive notebooks to address problem/solution
A sequencing organizer and a sequencing cut/paste
Retell writing page
Recommendation page for opinion
Character sketch for the princess
I might add pages to the file, so early buyers will receive those pages free if the cost of the product increases.
